Each surah map joins the verses inside one surah and then reaches outward, to a verse somewhere else that shares a word, a structure or an argument. This page collects every one of those outward links in a single picture. A circle’s position on the ring is its place in the Quran, so where a line lands is information rather than decoration, and its colour is how far it travels: gold for a neighbouring surah, violet for a throw right across the mushaf.

Each of these surahs has its own mind map. The count is how many links its map draws to other surahs.
The ring behind the circles is gold where the surahs are Meccan and blue where they are Medinan. A circle’s size is how long the surah is, so al-Baqarah is the largest on the ring and the three-verse surahs the smallest; the hollow ones are surahs that have not been drawn yet but that something already reaches. Click a line or a circle to pin it, and click the background to let go.
